I’ve finally got the rewards screen working! It took an incredibly long time, mostly because I stopped to redesign the battle HUD (that’s the book that pops up) halfway through the process. Anyway, it’s working pretty nicely! It could still use a few small tweaks but I’m pretty happy with it!
Added some visuals to the “transcendence” status effect. I think it looks pretty cool!
I’ve been adding in the overworld/exploration loop! It’s finally starting to become a playable game and not just a collection of debug states!!
Now, in addition to being able to buy stuff from NPCs, they will also gift you stuff (depending on your relationship level with them). I’m pretty excited with this, because this marks the end of most of the basic NPC interaction stuff!
I’m reworking how NPC interaction works, which isn’t really that interesting to show. So for now, enjoy this GIF of me bitch-slapping the crap out of these snakes!

Meet Carita, local beefy blacksmith. She’s a bit sassy, but she’s always happy to help forge you a dank new sword or take your money from you without a moment’s hesitation.
I’ve updated the overworld exploration a bit! Now icons for the different rooms appear, and also the lighting system uses a shader so it looks a little more sophisticated than before.
